At Brunel, we’re here to help you grow both academically and personally, supporting you in becoming a confident, independent learner ready for whatever the future holds.
We believe that every student deserves the best support to achieve their goals. That’s why, when you join Brunel, you’ll be paired with a personal tutor for the duration of your studies. Our personal tutors, alongside our wider student support system, are committed to helping you succeed every step of the way.
Your personal academic mentor
Think of your personal tutor as your go-to mentor. Your personal tutor will usually be part of the academic teaching team from your department. They're here to help you with your studies, personal growth, and career planning. Here's how they can support you:
- Guidance and support: Your personal tutor will help you to navigate your academic journey. They’ll provide personalised advice and support tailored to your needs.
- Connect you to resources: Need help with something specific? Whether you need academic assistance, career guidance, or personal support, your personal tutor can point you in the right direction.
- Wellbeing check-ins: Your personal tutor will ensure you're doing well both academically and personally.
Our commitment to you
We’re dedicated to ensuring you receive the best possible support throughout your time with us. Here’s what you can expect from your personal tutor:
- Regular meetings: You’ll meet your personal tutor within the first few weeks of starting Brunel. Your personal tutor will then be available for regular one-to-one meetings, as well as having open office hours, to ensure you have consistent support.
- Confidentiality: Your conversations with your personal tutor are private.
- Fairness and respect: Every student is treated with respect, no matter their background. Our personal tutors value each individual's unique background and experiences.
- Quick responses: They’ll aim to respond to your questions within two working days.
果冻传媒麻豆社 groups
In addition to having a personal tutor, you'll also be allocated a study group. 果冻传媒麻豆社 groups are small, friendly sessions, that include students across different year groups who are all studying the same course as you. It's a great way to learn together, share experiences, and make new friends. You'll benefit from:
- Collaborative learning: You’ll usually work in groups of 4-6 students on fun and engaging activities to develop key skills and tackle shared tasks.
- Facilitated by experts: Sessions are guided by one of our academic team members who support your learning.
- Community building: 果冻传媒麻豆社 groups provide a supportive environment where you can connect with others and feel part of a community.
- Regular contact: You’ll meet with your study group at various times throughout the year, and this will continue throughout the duration of your studies.
